Reiki is a natural, safe and holistic method of stress reduction, relaxation and self-healing.
In the late 1900’s, Mrs. Hawayo Takata brought Reiki to the West and without her, it’s unlikely that anyone outside Japan would recognize the word “Reiki”. What Mrs. Takata taught is referred to as “Western Reiki” because many of the traditional Japanese aspects were watered down, given that she was teaching Reiki to (mostly) Americans, in a time at which there had been much animosity between America and Japan.
Recently however, more detailed information regarding Reiki as it was traditionally practiced in the East has come to light. The world is now moving back to a practice of working with the traditional methods taught and practiced by Mikao Usui himself (the Founder of Reiki). When we work with Reiki this way, we find that our hands-on healing becomes even more powerful, and the integration of the original methodsprofoundly enhances and deepens our spiritual Reiki practice.
It is for this reason that I am delighted to announce a course of 4 x 2 hour weekly classes covering the Traditional Japanese Reiki Techniques as taught by Mikao Usui.
Each week I will teach specific exercises combined with experiential practice and student discussions, to help you gain a personal connection with the techniques, namely:
•The five elements of traditional Japanese Reiki
•The Japanese energetic system
•The Reiki precepts in Japanese and from a traditional perspective
•Reiki as a spiritual practice
• Several traditional Japanese techniques and meditations which are pivotal to the system of Reiki
You will also receive 4 Reiki empowerments (one each week).
These classes will help you to go deeper within your own personal practice and really experience the true essence of Reiki.
These classes are suitable for:
•Reiki Practitioners of all levels, whether First Degree, Second Degree or Masters.
•Whether you are a beginner or have been practicing Reiki for many years, you will find this course helpful in growing your practice and helping your self-healing and clients alike.
•They are especially suited to those practitioners who have studied “Western” Reiki and would like to learn more about the Japanese ways.
•Anyone who would like to move their Western Reiki practice over to a Traditional Japanese practice, or understand how to effectively combine the two.
•Anyone who would like to enhance and deepen their understanding of the art they practice, and the gift they use.
Course dates: Wednesday, 30th September, 7, 14, 21 October
Course cost: £100
Classes start at 8pm. Held in Addlestone, Surrey, KT15
* All learners will receive a certificate.
